Julian Hill Opticians

Practice update during the covid -19 pandemic

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU WITH URGENT EYE PROBLEMS, GLASSES OR CONTACT LENSES.

To all of our patients at Julian Hill Opticians,

As an optometry practice we work in an environment where the prevention of the spread of infection is paramount and it must always be safe for our patients to consult us. In recent times we have been paying very close attention to all government guidance and updates related more specifically to coronavirus.

Given the unprecedented situation in the UK regarding the rapidly spreading covid-19 virus we feel we must now use our own clinical judgement and act in the best interests of our patients and staff. We feel it is essential that we play our part in helping to reduce the spread of this virus in order to save lives and to help the NHS cope with the demands that are being placed on it.

It is with very heavy hearts that we have taken the decision to temporarily close our practice but rest assured we are still available should you need us for anything urgent or essential. Should you break or lose glasses that are essential to your daily life you can contact us by phone (01384 374232) or email (jhillopticians@gmail.com) and we will aim to help you. Likewise if you are running short of contact lenses and need a supply we can arrange home delivery for you and there will be no need for you to leave the house.

Looking after the ocular health of our patients is our absolute priority and so we will be operating an emergency telephone consultation service during this period of closure for patients who feel they have a serious eye problem. If you urgently need assistance please call us on 01384 374232 where a call diversion will forward your call to us.

For those of our patients who currently have spectacles/contact lenses on order we will aim to contact you and arrange delivery. All being well, we will reopen soon and we can assure you that our current reception staff will all remain employed by us. We will of course keep you updated via our website; www.jhopticians.co.uk

Thank you for your continued loyalty and support, even during these uncertain times. Our thoughts go out to all of you who have been affected by this unprecedented situation.

Stay safe and healthy,

Julian and Beverley Hill.
